💔 WHEN THERE IS NO OWNER

At Gotcha Recovery & Rescue, our first goal is always to bring lost pets home. But sometimes, after we safely trap an animal and report them to the proper authorities, no owner ever comes forward.

⏳ THE LEGAL HOLD

Every found animal is reported and given the required legal hold time, allowing their family the chance to claim them. If no one steps forward, the pet becomes a homeless animal in our care.

🩺 VETERINARY CARE & STERILIZATION

Each homeless animal in our care receives full vetting to ensure their health and well-being. Following the legal hold time, if the animal remains in our care and has not been altered, a spay or neuter procedure will be performed. Once cleared, the pet is placed into our adoption program to find a loving, forever home.

🐾 FOSTERS NEEDED

While pets wait for a reunion with their families or for adoption into a new, loving home, many thrive best in a foster home where they can feel safe, loved, and prepared for their next chapter. 🥰 ADOPTIONS

At Gotcha Recovery & Rescue, some animals we trap sadly have no owners that come forward. When this happens, we step in to give them a second chance. Each animal is fully vetted—receiving medical care, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and any treatment they may need—before being made available for adoption. Our goal is to prepare them for a safe, healthy, and loving forever home. By adopting one of these resilient pets, you’re not only giving them a brighter future, you’re also opening space for us to continue helping others in need.
