♥️MEET SLINKY♥️

Slinky appears to be a Border Collie–Corgi mix, also known as a Borgie, with an exceptional mind, strong herding instincts, and a deep attachment to his people and pack. He is intelligent, driven, and thrives when given structure, purpose, and consistent leadership.

When Slinky first arrived, he had never played with toys, a common sign of a dog whose life previously lacked safety or enrichment. Today, he has discovered the joy of play and absolutely loves toys, especially balls. Herding activities and structured games bring out his confidence and allow him to channel his instincts appropriately.

Slinky can be somewhat reactive when unfamiliar dogs or people approach his pack. This behavior is rooted in protectiveness and uncertainty rather than aggression, and it is something we are actively working on through training, management, and controlled exposure. He is responsive, highly trainable, and continues to make progress with clear boundaries and guidance.

He does very well with other dogs, is closely bonded to his canine companions, and naturally respects pack order. While Slinky is not a big cuddler, he enjoys affection in his own way, particularly being petted and brushed, which he finds calming and grounding. His bond shows through loyalty, attentiveness, and staying close to his people.

Slinky would do best in an active family home or a working/farm-style environment that understands herding breeds and is committed to continuing his training. He is not looking for perfection. He is looking for understanding, consistency, and a role where he can thrive.
